Different Results Means Doing Things Differently Than You Have Been

Have you heard the phrase “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”? (May or may not have been a quote by Albert Einstein, however, still great advice). In the context of your role as a leader, this definitely makes you sit up and take notice. I read a nugget of knowledge the other day that stated, “great leaders develop people” and then wondered how can you as a leader create opportunities to develop folks? How can we as leaders in the business world do things in a slightly new and inspiring way to get different results from our team? What things do we need to do to develop our folks to build the culture and strengthen loyalty?

Do we mentor them to ask better questions?

Provide additional training to improve specific skills?

Improve our own communication and give all information to encourage folks to be empowered to deliver the expected goods and services?

Or all of the above?
