Job Relations (it’s really people relations)
You can only be right all the time by never risking anything new. What will you do different today to move the needle?
Let’s face it – the way we communicate makes a huge impact in our relations with others, both at work and in our personal/family relationships. Did you know there are some basic foundations for good relations?
1. Let people know how they are doing. Communicate expectations and accountability.
2. Give credit/appreciation in a timely fashion. (They can’t read your mind)
3. Tell people in advance about things that will affect them.
4. Support their abilities and ambitions- help them grow.
Are the 4 items above all you need? They are good preventive medicine however good judgement and common sense will also be required.
